Our robot, which we decided to name Marvin, used a vertical, linear lift system to raise and lower the glyphs into the cryptobox. It also has a holonomic drivetrain to allow it to go in any direction at any given time. This drivetrain also allowed for us to get up onto the balancing stone very easily. We used upholstering foam on the grippers of the lift to get a good grab on the glyphs as we drive around the field with them. We added a plexiglass protective frame to protect our wiring and to prevent any damage. The frame is held on with four screws, two on each side, so if there was any problem it could be removed easily.
